Wolf Discussion & It's Reason for Being.

Postby Sharona on Fri Sep 18, 2009 10:49 am

Wolf Web was founded to educate the public on Wolves & the then( 1995), newly underway Wolf Re-introduction program many years ago.

At it's inception, there were no RP forums...Just Wolf discussions.

Since the founder of this site still finds the time & feels the need to post recent news concerning the upstart of wolf hunts on it's front page, then I think it's time for me to get back to my passion. Whether or not any one "Cares" or posts here.

That being said....

If you don't care, then don't.
Please do not feel the need to express your feelings to any or all posters on this forum.
Trust me WE KNOW...

Its boring & annoying.....

I for one, hope we get some new & interesting people who actually care about what is being "Undone" to 14 years of restoring a natural predator to it's rightful place.

I agree with you 100%.

There are a lot of role-players here who joined just for the role-playing and really don't care much about wolves. At least, that's the way it seems to me. I joined for the wolf discussion and left because role-playing became the most important thing here and completely overshadowed wolves themselves. Wolf Web used to be a place dedicated to wolves, now it seems like it is dedicated to role-playing. Fantasy role-playing, at that.

Either way, I'm up for any actual discussion about wolves. I've been looking for that for too long. I'd be nice if this place lost focus on role-playing and put the focus back on wolves. I am deeply passionate and concerned about what's happening to them. I'd love to see more discussion about ways to make a difference... spreading the news, educating more people.

That's what should be important.

Thanks for doing what you do!

I have no problem with RPing....
I have never done it.

I just hope that this particular forum can return to it's origin.
Hope you will stick around.....

Please don't knock the roleplaying section. We're not all bad.

1) Some of us were once interested, until the "OMG, I want a wolf!!!!!" and pointless chatter that doesn't belong in a discussion started taking over.
2) We only have one or two people who are willing to discuss intelligently on here.

Who is "Knocking" The Rp Forums Kozzie?

Thanks for supporting me? And yes the "OMG I WANT A WOLF" posts are unwanted......

Again....Why do I even bother?

Perhaps the "knocking" was too harsh. But I know that, before I started RPing, I came here for the information/discussion forum.

Eh, made me flashback to the mini-war we had going before the meltdown.

I miss the old forum, and the old discussions. We discussed instead of yelling at each other. Things were civil.

I came to wolfweb when it was both a disscusion and roleplay, but my friend (Icycola aka Indiana) Told me that its a good place to find factual information about wolves and have a good old chat about them. In the end yes the roleplay took me in, but every now and then I love to read the discussions (after all their are juicy information in there that I use with correct referencing.)

We need opposing view points again. When everyone agrees, debates can't happen and the healthy back-and-forth isn't the same. =(
